Their smoked prime rib on Friday night is the best in eastern Oregon. It comes with salad, your choice of potato (try the garlic mashed!), and vegetables. We are fortunate to live here where we can indulge frequently. Son always gets the burger. Several options available, or you can build your own. Great food.

Bud Jackson's is one of several similar-looking joints along I-84 in Oregon. The deciding factor was outdoor seating. They had it. The interior is decorated with pictures of hunters showing off various dead animals & neon beer signs. That's called ambience. Our waitress was oddly talkative (Prozac?) and she told us that she grew up in a town that was later cleared because of insane lead poison. Hmmmm. Got a B.L.T., figuring that it'd be safe. Super-greasy bacon & one razor-thin slice of tomato... Poop. But not the worst poop I've encountered, by a long shot.

Really good burgers, decent menu. Try the buffalo chips, nice & spicy. They also have smoked prime rib which is smoked right there. Just remember it's a small town tavern with good food.

We were passing through town on a road trip with our dog and they welcomed us to their patio. They even offered a bowl of water for her. Food was great. Beer was great and hospitality even better. If you're on a road trip and find yourself in La Grande don't hesitate to stop in for a quick bite and beer. They have a pretty extensive menu and I noticed they also offer a family area. Great for choice for everyone!!

I had the philly with buffalo chips. Great dinner. I also added auju sauce. Price is great and the waitresses are awesome. This is a must eat place if you are around

I stopped with my pal, who was pass'in thru. We got burger and something cold to drink. I had ... you read'in my mail? Pipe this: The Western Burger. Why pass up a good thing right? Same as always, GREAT. Hand cut fries, yeah baby! Only joint in town for a really good burger and that's no bunk.

We stopped by with our kids for lunch on a recent road trip. The food was a bit greasy, but good. We picked up a BLT sandwich that was on good sourdough. They also had a good beer selection. The dining area could use some re-decorating, but I won't hold it against them too much since it isn't purporting to be fine dining. Service was fine.

Amazing fries (fresh made at home) with homemade fry sauce you can taste the horseradish. Bleu burger and cheese burger are to die for!! Alaskan Amber fish and chip a wow. Don't miss this place. Ample serving and great wait staff.

Another road trip. Another search for the perfect burger and shake. We are running out of Pendleton/LaGrande options on our Boise trips. Seeing that Bud Jackson's Sports Bar got decent burger ratings, we decided to give it a shot. Since most bars are not known for their ice cream choices, we chose to forgo the search for the milkshake. I selected the basic burger (lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles? and mayo) while my wife went with the BLT. Hamburger was okay, not bad, not great - my wife was blown away by the amount of bacon on her sandwich and would give them 5 stars! We both had the waffle fries which were very good and plentiful (in retrospect, wish one of us had chosen the buffalo chip, just for the experience). Service was very good and prices were right. But, sadly, our perfect burger search must continue in the Pendleton/LaGrande area.

I always stop in here when I visit La Grande. Main reason, love the burgers. If you want lotto, pool tables, watch sports, sing karaoke, bring the family and sit away from the bar area....they have everything.

Stopped in for dinner last night and had the Five Alarm Burger with onion rings. Great burger and delicious battered onion rings! Definitely will go back the next time we are out in this area. Service was great and the restaurant was clean and tidy.

Had a great experience there service was excellent, staff very friendly, food was outstanding (had their special; a bacon wrapped filet with salad, potato, veggies and bread for $14.95). Big portions and many beer choices and cocktails. TVs for all sitting angles. I will definitely go back to Bud Jackson's!

Great stop for NBA finals and surprisingly good food. Worth a stop! We stopped here on a road trip from Jackson, WY to Portland looking for a good sports bar and decent food after 10+ hours of driving. Our hopes (based on yelp reviews) were surpassed.

Typical sports bar. Food wasn't greasy. Tried the fried green beans, pretty good. They've got 2 pool tables and lottery machines too. The bar is well stocked and the bartenders were great at remembering my drink even on a super busy night. I'd probably go back.

We end up eating here because all the Restaurant we called were all closed on Sunday. I am not really sure about eating dinner in a Bar though I told my husband I dont think they can go wrong if we order Prawn and Chips coz it's just fried. The menu said its Tiger Prawn and Country Style Fries. When the food came it was not prawn but just a regular battered butterfly shrimp. It was good actually atleast their fry sauc e is home made and so as the fries was hand cut. Hubby had a Mushroom Burger with Tator Tots, he said it's good too. We were stuffed.... not too bad fro what we paid. We weill probably come back when we're in town again.
